Amy Haertel MSW/RSW
Trauma can profoundly impact every aspect of an individual’s life, shaping their personal challenges and threatening to overshadow their sense of self. It can lead to a loss of perspective and motivation, overwhelming individuals with signals of danger and subconscious feelings of failure. The resulting perceptions of disappointment and pain can make it difficult for them to reconnect with their true identity. I am dedicated to assisting my clients in navigating the intricate challenges often associated with traumatic experiences, guiding them on a path toward understanding the roots of their struggles, finding stability, fostering healing, an ultimately achieving recovery. My goal is to establish a safe and supportive environment where we can delve into past experiences, process emotions, and acquire the necessary skills and strategies to progress in a positive direction. Approaching trauma work with empathy respect and a profound admiration for the resilience and strength of each individual, I strive to empower those I have the privilege of working with to overcome their trauma and re discover their inner strength.

Ambita Sen
Problem: Clients are sometimes apprehensive about the type of relationship they can have with the therapist. They are uncertain if they can fully open up and express their issues and whether the therapy will help. Solution: I approach each client as an individual with the desire to provide them comfort by approaching their issues holistically. Then, in collaboration with the client, I am able to identify and agree upon the therapeutic process that is attuned to their specific issues, needs, and what they desire to achieve from therapy. Result: I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship so they can move forward with ease. Experience: Ambita is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychotherapy from Yorkville University, Canada, and a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology from Aston University, UK. More than just my work: I was fortunate to grow up in an open and equitable environment that inspired individuality while providing the protection and sense of security of a collective environment. I also love cooking, yoga and meditation. These are aspects of my inner sanctuary.
